Techniques to stop overthinking

Mindfulness meditation: Practice focusing on the present moment without judgement. This can help quiet the mind and reduce overthinking.

Set aside time for reflection: Schedule specific times to think about your concerns, and then let them go outside of those times.

Challenge negative thoughts: Question the validity of your worries and consider alternative, more positive perspectives.

Engage in physical activity: Exercise can help reduce stress and clear your mind, making it easier to stop overthinking.

Engage in your Favourite Hobby: Find activities that fully engage your attention, like hobbies or spending time with loved ones.

Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself and recognize that it's okay to have intrusive thoughts, but you don't have to dwell on them.

Follow the Japanese technique of Ikigai: Ikigai is a Japanese concept that roughly translates to "reason for being" or "purpose in life." By identifying your ikigai, you can gain clarity and direction in your life, which can help reduce overthinking.
